The current public health climate has been tough. Many people in the workforce are facing challenges like a shortage of resources and shifting priorities. Community-based organisations, community health workers, youth program staff, youth ambassadors, and many other health professionals are working hard every day, but it can be challenging to maintain the energy and persistence needed to improve health outcomes for youth.
Young people aged 15–24 in Ghana continue to be impacted by new HIV infections. Despite the availability of tools like HIV self-testing (HIVST) and pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), many young people still face challenges accessing them due to stigma, limited youth-friendly services, and low awareness.

the response to HIV to lead their own solutions. As we approach World AIDS Day 2024 on the 1st of December, we
invite you to help us create lasting change using the assets within youth groups and community-based
organizations (CBOs).
