Dr. Iwelunmor is a global health implementation scientist who conducts research in the areas of sustainability science, and social innovations for health. She is an associate professor in Global health at Saint Louis University in Missouri. Her current research focuses on the role social innovations and social entrepreneurships play with fostering sustainable health programs that enhance the health and well-being of young people in low and middle income countries. Prior to her work in academia, she worked at UNESCO, Paris France as a program specialist. In this capacity, she facilitated the culture sector’s response to HIV prevention among young people in sub-Saharan Africa. Outside research, Dr. Iwelunmor loves spending time with her husband and three lovely children, making beaded jewelry, and writing children’s story books.
Dr. Tucker is an infectious disease physician with a special interest in using public challenge contests to improve health. He is an associate professor at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and also at the University North Caroline at Chapel Hill. His team’s ongoing research investigates challenge contests to promote HIV testing, hepatitis testing, health cities, and gender equity. He is the chairman of the Steering Committee of Social Entrepreneurship to Sour Health, a group focused on using public challenge contests to improve health. In this role, he helped to organize the Women Leaders in Global Health Challenge Contest. He was a volunteer firefighter for four years in college.
Dr. Ezechi is an Obstetrician-Gynecologist, Public health specialist and member of the Nigerian National HIV Treatment Task Team. At the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research, Yaba, Lagos state, the apex medical research Institute in the country, he is the Deputy Director of Research, and team lead for HIV, Maternal, Child, and Reproductive Health Research. As one of the three principal Investigators on the ITEST project, he brings to bear his experiences in project management, and working with young people especially in the area of Reproductive Health including HIV/AIDS.
