4YBY Music4Health Contest

How might we use Nigerian music to prevent high blood pressure in young people and increase Stroke awareness in the general population?

The Problem
In every two cases of stroke, one is caused by high blood pressure. People often refer to high blood pressure as "The Silent Killer." In Nigeria, stroke is a leading cause of death and disability among adults. High blood pressure, also known as hypertension, raises the chances of having a stroke. This is also becoming more concerning for young people and their health. Around 1 in 10 young individuals aged 10 to 19 years old might have high blood pressure . This indicates that not just adults, but also young people could face the risk of having a stroke if high blood pressure is not identified and treated early.
