Dr. Iwelunmor is a global health implementation scientist who conducts research in the areas of sustainability science, and social innovations for health. She is an associate professor in Global health at Saint Louis University in Missouri. Her current research focuses on the role social innovations and social entrepreneurships play with fostering sustainable health programs that enhance the health and well-being of young people in low and middle income countries. Prior to her work in academia, she worked at UNESCO, Paris France as a program specialist. In this capacity, she facilitated the culture sector’s response to HIV prevention among young people in sub-Saharan Africa. Outside research, Dr. Iwelunmor loves spending time with her husband and three lovely children, making beaded jewelry, and writing children’s story books.
